Samsung's new smartphone S10 Lite is being launched as a direct competitor to the OnePlus 7T. It is the second smartphone to have been launched by the company in the segment this week. Here's the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite in terms of specs and features.
S10 Lite has found its way to Indian markets after a few days of being launched in Las Vegas earlier this month. The smartphone has been launched in India as a device that has heavy specs but comes in at a very low price point.
The Galaxy S10 Lite's pricing acknowledges the phone becomes the second smartphone of the Indian market under Rs 40k segment device to have been launched this week after the company also plans to bring the Galaxy Note 10 Lite version to the Indian market to take on the OnePlus 7T.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite misses out on a few keys of the premium smartphone that have features to help the Note 10 Lite stand out. Still, it compensates for the loss by bringing to the box, flagship specifications - including last year's flagship Snapdragon chipset that's still quite popular in the premium segment of the smartphone market.
The S10 Lite comes with a 6.70-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080x2400 pixels which has a pixel density of 394 pixels per inch (PPI).
The S10 Lite is powered by a Snapdragon 2.8GHz octa-core processor. That comes with 6GB of RAM.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite runs on the latest Android 10 and is powered by a 4,500mAh non-removable battery. The Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite supports exclusive fast charging.
As far as the cameras are involved, the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite on the rear packs a 48-megapixel primary camera with a focal of f/2.0 aperture; a second 12-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture, and a third 5-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture lens. The rear camera setup has autofocus capability. It supports a 32-megapixel camera on the front for selfies, with an f/2.2 aperture.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite runs on Samsung's operating system is One UI 2.0 which is based on Android 10 and packs 128GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 1000GB) or you can say that it can be expended up to 1TB with the external storage.
Connectivity options on the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, and USB Type-C with active 4G on both the SIM cards. Sensors on the phone include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, gyroscope, in-display fingerprint scanner, and proximity sensor. The Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite also supports face unlock.
The S10 Lite measures 162.50 x 75.60 x 8.10mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 186g. It was launched in Prism White, Prism Blue, and Prism Black colors.
