The Chinese smartphone manufacturing company recently came out with a 40W wireless charging pad named OPPO 40W Airvooc Wireless Charger Pad, which has been certified by the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC), months after the Chinese tech company joined the partnership. The WPC is a group of companies that encourages the use of the Qi Wireless Charging standard technology. The progress comes around the time when Oppo has decided to launch its upcoming smartphone, Oppo Ace 2. While it is not confirmed whether the smartphone will support wireless charging or not, previous rumors have intimated that Oppo Ace 2 will probably come with 65W fast charging support. In the meantime, another report claims that the Oppo 40W wireless charger is possible to be called a 40W AirVOOC wireless charger.
According to the data which is available on the WPC official website, Oppo's 40W wireless charger will come with the model number OAWV01. The official website also highlights that the 40W wireless charger was released on April 7. Along with the certification information, there is the image of the wireless charger as well, whicht shows the product in a white color option. The charger is divided into two par,ts where oe (pat) appears to comprise the wireless charging pad while the other part contains what appears to be a cooling fan.
Also, the live image of Oppo's 40W wireless charger has been published by the MySmartPrice website, which is a report claiming that the product might be called the Oppo 40W AirVOOC wireless charger.
Interestingly, the latest evolution comes around the time when Oppo is ready to launch the new Oppo Ace 2 smartphone on 13th April 2020. The company recently confirmed that the smartphone will come with a Snapdragon 865 SoC and weigh 185 grams. This phone is also expected to support 5G connectivity.
