Apple is back at it again! The iPhone 17 Air—also known as the “Slim” edition—is making headlines, and not just for its futuristic vibes. These iPhones may be expected to launch in September this year alongside the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. It’s set to become Apple’s thinnest phone yet. If you’ve ever dreamed of a phone so slim it practically disappears in your pocket, this might be it. Now, a leaked hands-on video is stirring up a storm by showcasing dummy units of the iPhone 17 series. Spoiler alert: the iPhone 17 Air is rocking the “ultra-thin” trend like a runway model at tech week.
iPhone 17 Air Dummy Unit:
The popular YouTube channel Unbox Therapy, hosted by Lewis Hilsenteger, shared an intriguing hands-on video of these dummy units, rumored to hail from case makers in China. The video starts with Lewis sizing up the iPhone 17 Pro Max dummy. At 163.0×77.59×8.75mm, it’s hardly a chubby companion.
But when Lewis gets his hands on the Apple iPhone 17 Air dummy, it’s game over for bulky smartphones. The host even quips, “That feels futuristic,” before raising an eyebrow over its bendability. At its slimmest point, the unit measures an impressive 5.65mm. That’s practically wafer-thin compared to the iPhone 17 Pro Max’s 8.75mm. If these dimensions match the real deal, Apple might have created a device thinner than your average tech conference nametag.
The video doesn’t stop there—it also gives us a sneak peek at the standard iPhone 17 dummy, measuring 149.6×271.46×7.96mm. The iPhone 17 Air seems to come in vanilla iPhone 17 colour option, but doesn’t quite reach the sky-high stature of the Pro Max. And let’s not overlook the protective case glimpsed in the video, designed for the slim marvel itself.
iPhone 17 Air: What We Know So Far.
Leaks and whispers around the iPhone 17 Air have been making the rounds online in recent months. Here’s the scoop: it’s rumored to feature a stunning 6.6-inch OLED display with a super-smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Selfie lovers may get a 24-megapixel front camera alongside a single 48-megapixel rear shooter.
Titanium, baby. Apple seems to be going for premium feels all the way. Under the hood, the iPhone 17 Air might run on the A18 or A19 chip, paired with 8GB of RAM. And while your wallet might shed a tear, the pricing is reportedly between $1,299 and $1,500 (roughly Rs. 1,09,000 to Rs. 1,26,000 in India). Slim doesn’t come cheap, folks.
