The Chinese company Xiaomi revival its new smartphone in the POCO series named POCO X2 in India. The Xiaomi POCO F2 might be launched in India on May 19. The flagship killer POCO F2 Pro is the successor of POCO F1. Some days before the company has launched POCO X2 in the POCO lineup.
This smartphone comes in two variants: one comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is priced at Rs 499 (RS 40867.00 in Indian rupees) and the second one comes with 8GB of RAM and 256 of storage is priced at $599 (RS 49057.94 in Indian rupees). POCO F2 runs on the latest Android 10 and is going on sale globally starting today via AliExpress and Gearbest.
By looking at POCO F2 Pro it will seem familiar to you because it is a rebrand of the Xiaomi Redmi K30 Pro that was launched in China just like the POCO X2, which was also a rebrand of the Xiaomi Redmi K30 4G.
Let's talk about the details of the hardware specifications, features, and software section of the new POCO F2 Pro and the things that make it a true flagship killer smartphone.
POCO F2 Pro with a popup camera instead of a hole-punch design or notch for selfie cameras. The display is measured on a 6.67-inches FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 2400—1080 pixels. The switch to AMOLED also allowed the fingerprint sensor to move under the screen.
The screen refresh-rate at a standard 60Hz, but the touch sampling rate up-to 180Hz with HDR 10+ support. Both the back and front of the smartphone are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
This phone has a Widevine L1 certification, so it can play HD content from Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and other online media streaming services.
The new POCO F2 Pro is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC with 5G support. This chipset is coupled with an Adreno 650 GPU. Still, it's worth noting that the base variant 6GB/128GB model comes with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.0 storage. Whereas, the top variant 8GB/256GB model comes with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
All spaces inside one phone will produce lots of heat and to take care of it and maintain a proper performance for a long time, the POCO F2 Pro supports what the company claims to be the largest vapor chamber in any phones till now to support LiquidCool Technology 2.0 with three layers of graphite cooling.
This helps the device to remain cool even in heavy usages like while playing high-end games such as PUBG Mobile, Call of Duty Mobile, and Fortnite Mobile.
The new Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro comes with a new quad-camera setup, which may be pushing the POCO fans to upgrade to this new smartphone. The smartphone owns a 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor which is the first camera with an outsized 1/1.7.
