The smartphone manufacturing company Asus is coming with the upgraded version of ROG series phones named Asus ROG Phone 3 has been launched by the company. It is the latest gaming-centric smartphone. We all know that this generation is investing lots of time in games like PUBG Mobile, Fortnite Mobile, and Call Of Duty Mobile. The new device has almost the same dimensions as last year's ROG Phone 2 have, yet it arrives with several new hardware upgradations. The new Asus ROG Phone 3 comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ SoC plus adds a GameCool 3 heat-dissipating system with a redesigned copper 3D vapor chamber and one large graphite layer over whatever available on the current device. As we know that all the gaming phones get heated up while gaming on it, and this is the phone made by the company mostly for the gamers. So, it has to have come with a proper cooling system. Like the other gaming smartphones, this phone also features Air-Trigger 3 ultrasonic buttons, which include dual front-firing speakers. The new ROG Phone 3 also comes with a clip-on AeroActive Cooler 3 accessory that has a kickstand and built-in fan to decrease the exterior temperature up to 4-degree Celsius.
The new Asus ROG Phone 3 price in India at Rs. 49,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and the second variant 12GB RAM + 256GB storage option for Rs. 57,999. Each of the retail packages of both variants comes with one Aero Case, although the top-end variant additionally comes with an AeroActive Cooler 3 accessory. Every retail box of the Asus ROG Phone 3 also carries a 30 Watt ROG Hypercharge Charger and a 3.5mm USB Type-C to 3.5mm adapter, which is not common nowadays. Moreover, this Asus smartphone will go on sale in India through Flipkart, which starts on 6th August 2020 at noon IST.
Besides the ROG Phone 3, Asus has offered a ROG Kunai 3 Gamepad at the price of Rs. 9,999, a TwinView Dock 3 at Rs. 19,999, a Mobile Desktop Dock 2 at Rs. 12,999, a Glass Screen Protector for Rs. 699, a Neon Aero Case at Rs. 1,999, and a Lightning Armor Case for Rs. 2,999. The company has also launched a ROG Clip that allows you to connect the phone with your PlayStation 4, Stadia, or Xbox controller for Rs. 1,999. The ROG Cetra Headset was launched earlier at Rs. 7,699, ROG Cetra Core at Rs. 3,999, and AeroActive Cooler 3 at Rs. 2,999.
Asus ROG Phone 3 runs on Android 10 with a ROG UI skin on top and features with a 6.59-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,340 pixels) AMOLED display, which has a 19:5:9 aspect ratio, a 144Hz refresh rate, 270Hz touch sampling-rate, and HDR10+ technology support. The screen of the ROG Phone 3 comes with a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection and a TUV Low Blue Light solution with a Flicker Reduction-certified technology for eye comfort. Under the hood, the phone has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ SoC, along with the Adreno 650 GPU includes 12GB LPDDR5 RAM.
For photos and video lovers, the ROG Phone 3 has a triple rear camera setup. The first camera has a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens. The second camera has a 13-megapixel secondary sensor with a 125-degree ultra-wide-angle lens, and the third camera comes with a 5-megapixel tertiary sensor with an f/2.0 macro lens. All this being with an up-gradation over the dual rear camera setup as we have seen in the ROG Phone 2 that carries a 48-megapixel primary sensor and a 13-megapixel wide-angle shooter.
The new ROG Phone 3 also has a 24-megapixel selfie camera sensor in the front for selfie lovers, along with an f/2.0 lens. The phone also has a 4K video recording support by its rear camera setup, while the front selfie camera is capable to record a 1080p videos.
Asus has provided the storage space up to 256GB of onboard UFS 3.1 storage that can't be expanded through a microSD card. However, this smartphone does have NTFS technology support for external USB hard drives. In the Connectivity options, it includes all the common features, but it also has a new 5G technology support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS/ NavIC, USB Type-C, and a 48-pin side port. Sensors on the smartphone include accelerometer, ambient light, magnetometer, gyroscope, and a proximity sensor. It carries an in-display fingerprint sensor. Moreover, this smartphone comes with an ultrasonic sensor for the AirTrigger 3, and the grip press features.
The new Asus ROG Phone 3 comes with dual, front-facing speakers, which is powered by ROG GameFX and Dirac HD Sound technologies that help in gaming without earphones. There is also Hi-Res audio support. The smartphone has a quad microphones with Asus Noise Reduction technology support.
In the power backup, this ROG Phone 3 has a 6,000mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging technology. The battery capacity is alike to its previous ROG Phone 2. This new gaming smartphone measures 171x78x9.85mm and weighs 240 grams.
