The Fast and Furious 9 trailer is out Today

Updated: November 03, 2020 18:40

The “Fast and Furious” franchise is here with its all-new movie which is "Fast And Furious 9".
The first trailer for the ninth series “Furious” film was released on Friday afternoon, complete with surprising elements in it (but not that much surprising for avid followers) returns and physics-dismissing stunts that have now become the trademark of the film.
Three “Fast and Furious” characters make “sudden” returns. As the trailer finishes with the line of, Han, played by Sung Kang, he walks out eating a bag of chips despite probably dying in “Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift,” the furious franchise’s third movie.
Han’s return had been speculated for some time, especially since “Fast and Furious" revived Michelle Rodriguez’s Letty, who “died” in the fourth film only to reappear during the sixth.

Also re-revving their engines are Charlize Theron, who played the villain Cipher in the eighth film and survived, and Lucas Black, the leading man in “Tokyo Drift” movie who was cast adrift by the producers until his minute-long reappearance as Sean Boswell in “Furious 7.”

And the WWE star John Cena plays the role of Dom Toretto’s estranged brother Jakob. If “Fast” tradition holds, he’ll either die in the film as a villain or live long enough to become a hero in the franchise, a la Jason Statham’s Deckard Shaw.
But it’s not all about family. It’s also about jumping cars off mountains, Tyrese Gibson yelling jokes while driving, and rocket engine-powered Pontiac Fieros that get quickly dismissed by Ludacris.
The film, the first in the central saga since 2017′s “The Fate of the Furious,” has a Rock-sized hole after Dwayne Johson and Vin Diesel had a public falling out. Johnson, who was in “Fast” films five through eight, instead drove headlong into a spin-off, 2019′s “Hobbs & Shaw,” with Statham.
“F9” is scheduled to debut on May 22.
