What's new in the upcoming Android 11?

Developer Preview 3 showed some of the features of the upcoming Android 11 in April 2020. This is the last developer preview for the next version of Android. Google is planning to start rolling out beta versions beginning next month. The Android 11 developer preview 3 (DP3) is available on all of the Pixel devices, and if you were running the developer preview 2, possibility that you have already received the over-the-air (OTA) update notification for DP3. As suspected, tech blogs and other websites have been hunting around the DP3 to find out all the cool, unique features this version brings, and we are expecting to have an Android 11 officially in our smartphone in last this year.
It is important to note before going far, it may be quite possible that some of the latest features may not end up in the stable version of Android 11.
What's new in the upcoming Android 11?
Here, we tell you about some of the new and interesting features in the upcoming Android 11, by observing the beta version of Android 11 Beta. The new features have been shown to us in Developer Preview 3 (DP3) in April 2020.
- Large Preview Screen For Recent Apps
According to the recent DP3, we have seen that Google has added a larger preview screen for the recent apps screen as seen in Android 11 Beta. The design of the preview in Android 10 is pretty small. But the size of the preview of recent apps is much larger in Android 11 Beta. Similarly, Google has also added two new shortcuts in the form of a screenshot and share buttons. While the screenshot option will take a screenshot of the app that is showing up in the recent app screen, the share button shares the screenshot on various social media, it is for quick sharing.
- New Pop-Up Screenshot Option
The company has tweaked about the new feature os pop-up screenshot option that arrives when you capture a screenshot and it is now quite smaller and similar to what we have seen on iOS devices. Rather than a large pop-up at the top of the mobile screen, the Developer Preview 3 (DP3) has shown us a smaller version of the screenshot that we took at the bottom-left of the mobile screen.
- Improved App permissions
Google has been consistently working to fix the app permissions options from the last few versions of the Android and that work is continued in Android 11. Developers have added a new option in Android 11 Developer Preview 3 that will revoke an app's permission if you have not used that app for a few months. This will helps in users from gatting drained there data.
- Ethernet Tethering
As Android 11 Beta, also adds a new option of hotspot and tethering menu in the form of Ethernet tethering. This allows people to connect a USB-to-Ethernet adapter to their Android smartphones and then connect the LAN cable to that adapter and PC can use the Internet from that smartphone.
